I am going to take 2 jazz classes, 1 modern,1 lyrical, 1 hip hop, and 1 tap class in the fall. My question is, how many ballet classes should I take if I want to go pro?

Professional ballerinas take ballet whenever they can.

This year I took 5 ballet, 2 jazz, 1 tap, 1 musical theatre, and the 6 hour rehearsals on saturdays, in case that says anything for you. :)

    Hope this helps!!

if you are looking into pointe, AT LEAST two..but as long as time and finances aren’t restricted, I would take as many as you can :) .

take as many as you can! it takes lots of work to become a professional dancer! take as many as your parents will let you take and then practice a lot at home!

You cant start something for the first time and expect to be a professional with it…. It is rare. I think you must take multiple classes. And you should do more as the years progress. In total I take 7 ballet classes, and ive been dancing for three years. For ballet, you must have a decent arch, and a decent amount of flexibility. That said, it can be improved over the years. Striaght up, not saying I agree with it…but you must be a certain weight to do ballet ( long, tall body)

    Hope this helps :)
